For my shotgun and tenement-inspired house, I decided to keep the original form of the shotgun house that I had developed but to make the program resemble more of a tenement-style floor plan. While shotgun houses are traditionally single family, this house is a multi-family structure. In addition, the house has separate entrances/porches for each family and has a central common area and courtyard. These elements, while unusual for a shotgun style home are all aspects of tenement housing which I found interesting.
