Line Drawings

For my line drawings, I overlaid them onto renders of the view in order to provide more context and shadows.

Line drawing 1 shows the coincidences of the axes and the congregation space falling in the middle of the spaces.

Line drawing 2 shows the collision of the publicity of the profane and living with the privacy of sacred.

Line drawing 3 shows the collage of the publicity of learning and commerce as well as how this collides with the privacy of contemplation.

Line drawing 4 shows the collage of the publicity of profane and exhibition as well as how this collides with the privacy of contemplation.

Line drawing 5 shows the juxtaposition between the collage of publicity in profane and exhibition with the privacy of sacred.

Line drawing 6 shows the juxtaposition between the collage of publicity in living and learning with the privacy of sacred.

Textured Renders

For my renderings, I wanted to use concrete as the materiality because I felt like the spaces as a whole have a lot of detailing and levity to them, however using the concrete texture implies heaviness and density. I liked this juxtaposition between the spaces themselves and their materiality.

In order to put an emphasis on the differences of the spaces and their collisions, collages, and coincidences, I used various colors of concrete to reinforce the concepts that I discussed earlier. With the more private spaces being lighter in color and the more public spaces being darker in color. I also used similar colors on the coincidental axes in order to emphasize the idea of coincidence.
