Collage City Plan

For my collage city plan, I was focused on finding a balance between the “hedgehog” and the “fox” as was discussed in Rowe and Koetter’s Collage City. I wanted to create a plan where “the hedgehog, concerned with the primacy of the single idea, and the other, the fox, preoccupied with multiplicity of stimulus” could come together. To do this i made a series of polygons, almost like a spider web, connected at their vertices, and filled in each section with a different “set of rules”. After this was done, I worked on connecting the areas from different sections as to not have the plan look totally separated into 7 different regions. These regions all lead to one polygon which lies in the center and ties to whole plan together.
